If you’re like a lot of people you’re probably still settling into the new year and trying to wrap your head around it.
Maybe you have clarirty and direction in some aspects of your life but not in others or possibly you have it all together and figured out.
Where ever you are along this spectrum keep two thngs in mind as you navigate the new year.
The most important day is today
So many of us live in our heads. We spend our time ruminating about the past or overthinking the future while today slips quietly away.
You can learn from your past and prepare for tomorrow but don’t forget to live today.
Don’t waste today worrying about yesterday or tomorrow. Don’t take your time for granted. Try being mindful instead.
We won’t always be here.
You can make progress by doing things Imperfectly
Whatever you have planned, whatever your goals for the year, remember that you don’t have to execute them perfectly each time and every time to make progress. Of course, you should strive for perfection but bear in mind that – It’s consistency, rather than sporadic perfection, that drives success.
So be dogged and keep at it. Keep your eyes on the prize and put in the work. You’ll get better with practice and make progress even when you do things imperfectly.
